Terms & Conditions

The commercial terms on which we open and operate trading, demat and mutual fund accounts, including charges.

Pending compliance review. This page was newly drafted for the relaunched site — it had no published counterpart previously. The content follows standard practice and this firm’s own registration details, but must be reviewed and approved by the Compliance Officer before it is treated as final.

Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to the accounts and services offered by Kalpataru Multiplier Ltd. They supplement, and do not replace, the SEBI-prescribed Rights and Obligations document, the Risk Disclosure Document and the Tariff Sheet signed at the time of account opening. Where there is any inconsistency, the SEBI-prescribed documents prevail.

Account opening and charges

Trading and demat account opening is free. Charges applicable to the 3-in-1 account are set out below and in the tariff sheet.

  • There is no account opening fee for a trading account or a demat account.
  • A one-time ₹3,125 lifetime AMC applies to the 3-in-1 account, of which ₹2,600 is refunded when the account is closed.
  • Brokerage is charged at the rates agreed in the tariff sheet and is reflected in the contract note for each trade.
  • Statutory charges and levies — STT/CTT, exchange transaction charges, SEBI turnover fees, stamp duty and GST — are charged at prevailing rates and are outside our control.
  • Depository transaction charges apply on debit of securities from the demat account as per the tariff sheet.
  • Charges are subject to revision on prior notice sent to your registered email address.

Eligibility and KYC

  • Accounts are opened only for persons competent to contract under Indian law and after completion of KYC.
  • PAN, Aadhaar linked to your mobile number, bank proof and a signature image are required for digital eKYC.
  • You must keep your address, bank account, mobile number, email ID and income range current, and inform us promptly of any change.
  • We may decline to open, or may close, an account where KYC is incomplete or where required by law or regulation.

Trading and settlement

  • Orders are accepted subject to the risk management policy, applicable margins and exposure limits in force at the time.
  • We may decline, restrict or square off positions in accordance with the RMS Policy, including where margin is insufficient.
  • Pay-in of funds and securities must be met by the prescribed settlement deadline.
  • Contract notes and ledgers are issued in the back office and are the definitive record of your transactions.
  • Funds lying in your account are settled periodically in accordance with the running account settlement preference you have given.

Securities held in your name

Securities you buy are credited to your own CDSL demat account under DP-ID 12031600 and remain in your name at all times. They are never held in the broker’s name. Pledging of securities for margin is done only against your specific authorisation through the depository’s margin pledge mechanism.

Mutual fund investments

  • We act as a distributor of mutual fund schemes and not as an investment adviser.
  • Scheme returns are not guaranteed and past performance does not indicate future performance.
  • Read the scheme information document and key information memorandum before investing.

Account closure

  • You may close your account at any time once dues are settled and holdings are transferred out or sold.
  • Closure can be completed digitally through the back office or in person at a branch.
  • The refundable component of the lifetime AMC is returned to your registered bank account on closure.
  • We may close or suspend an account on notice where required by law, regulation or the risk management policy.

Grievances

Complaints may be raised with our customer care desk and escalated to the Compliance Officer at kmlho@kalpatarumulti.com. Unresolved complaints may be taken to the exchange, to SEBI SCORES, or to the SMART ODR portal, as set out on the Regulatory Disclosures page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law and by the bye-laws, rules and regulations of SEBI, the exchanges and the depository. Disputes are subject to the dispute resolution mechanism prescribed by SEBI and the relevant exchange.

This document is published by Kalpataru Multiplier Ltd in accordance with SEBI and exchange requirements. For any clarification, write to kmlho@kalpatarumulti.com or call 0755-4350141-143.
